In the village of Pendem you can find a place where they make and sell sarongs,
the official name is Busana Adat Bali Tenun/Songket Jembrana and is subsidized by the local government.


Here sarongs are woven in the traditional way (which will be demonstrated) and of high quality and the detail is in the different motifs and there is a lot of labour (one can only work on 1 sarong for 2 months) which is why the sarongs are quite expensive, such as those on the photo, IDR 7.000.000 (+/- 350 euro).
