Tegalalang Rice terrace

A village north of Ubud where there is a beautiful rice terrace and continues as far as you can see, the disadvantage of this location is that it is a touristic and busy place. This is now also known to the local people and logically you will find many sellers of all kinds of stuff, an entrance fee to the fields, restaurants and warungs with beautiful view over the rice terrace. Once you get in and you walk down the narrow paths you get an even better view over the beautiful green valley. There are different points of entrance also the Ceking Rice terrace is worth a visit.

Early in the morning is the best time to visit the rice fields.

It is totally different from Jatiluwih, where Jatiluwih is quiet and peaceful, Tegalalang is busy and overcrowded on the busiest days, the only resemblance is that here also the Subak method is being used for the irrigation system.
And the further you go down, the more beautiful it gets. You can also do a trekking here and you will see local guides walking around who offer this.
