Pura Kehen is located in Cempaga, Bangli Regency. The temple is located at the foot of a wooded hill about 2 kilometers north of the city center. Built in the 13th century, is dedicated to the Hindu god of fire, Brahma, and is considered a place of worship and spiritual pilgrimage. Pura Kehen was the royal temple of the Bangli Kingdom, now Bangli Regency. Wikipedia gives a nice explanation about the temple.

When you arrive at the entrance, the first thing you see is the courtyard, which is shaded by a huge banyan tree. This tree provides a nice cool climate and is considered sacred by the Balinese.

You enter the jeroan through the second courtyard, the walls of which are covered with ancient Chinese porcelain. This is the most sacred courtyard of a Balinese temple. Here the 11 roofed meru dominates the courtyard. This meru is dedicated to the god who protects the temple. On both sides you will notice more small merus, in which mountain gods can rest when they visit the temple.
