Places of interest in west Bali

Negara
Most of the west of Bali is covered by the region of Jembrana, Negara is the capital of the region and Negara itself has a city centre with a local market and lots of government buildings, around the city of Negara are a lot of small villages. The road from Denpasar to Gilimanuk runs straight through the region, on one side of the road (the ocean side) fisherman villages and on the other side of the road the farmland these are stretched out rice fields, and also this area has gone through a development there are many modern eateries, warungs and even coffee shops now.
Negara is primarily a local Balinese city and has a strong Muslim influence and it has a large mosque in the centre of the city. The regional government wants to promote tourism and especially in the Negara area there are places with more tourism potential such as Palasari, the fishing port of Pengambengan, and the village of Perancak with the turtle conservation center, Medewi Beach is a well-known place for surfers and also Pantai Pulukan has become a place of interest.

Jagatnatha Botanical Garden
This botanical garden is a also a kind of city park has a theater and was built for the people of Jembrana.

Palasari
Is a village where mostly catholic people living, the centre of the village holds a catholic church.

Belimbingsari
Is a village close to Palasari but here the people of the village are all protestant.

Bunut Bolong
The hollow tree located in the village of Manggisari and a good stop for coffee.

Rambut Siwi temple
A beautiful and quiet temple located at the coast and surrounded by ricefields.
