Places of interest in central and south Bali

Central Bali is the area with the mountains in the north part, in the west part the green ricefields of Belimbing, in the south-east Ubud.
Most of the central part of Bali is located is the Tabanan region with Badung and Gianyar in the east, where Badung is going all the way south where all the famous tourist places are like Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu in the west part, Uluwatu in the south and Nusa Dua in the east part (and obviously many more) which also are a part of Badung, but also Sanur which is a part of Denpasar region.

Pupuan
The village of Pupuan is known for the local monastery with the statue of the white Buddha.

Belimbing
The area which is famous because of the beautiful rice terrace.

Jatiluwih
Another famous place of rice fields.

Batukaru temple
One of the nine directional temples which is located on the slopes of Mount Batukaru in a village called Wongaya Gede.

Sangeh Monkey forest
The other monkey forest in the village of Sangeh.

Taman Ayun Temple
A nice temple complex in the village of Mengwi.

Tegalalang rice terrace
Famous rice terrace in Ubud area.

Abian Desa rice terrace
A beautiful rice terrace close to Tegalalang.

Pura Mengening
The smaller version of Tirta Empul.

Gunung Kawi
A beautiful temple complex surrounded by rice fields in the village of Tampaksiring.

Gunung Kawi Sebatu
Not to be confused with the Gunung Kawi, this temple is located in the village of Sebatu.

Taman Sari Waterfall & Natural Pool
This is a small waterfall in Desa Bakbakan.

Yeh Pulu
Ancient site with a 25 meter stone wall from the 14th century.

Goa Gajah
A temple complex als known as the Elephant Cave.

Tanah Lot
Tanah Lot is a famous temple located in Beraban, Tabanan Regency.

Uluwatu temple
The famous temple on the cliff of Uluwatu.

Kecak Dance at Pura Uluwatu
The famous dance held at the sunset at Uluwatu temple.

Beaches of Uluwatu
There are many beaches in Uluwatu like Pandawa Beach. There is also a beach which is less known which is called Pantai Gunung Payung.

GWK Cultural Park
A park with the famous statue of the Garuda.

Turtle Conservation and Education Centre on Serangan
One of the better place to see turtles, this is a place where they actually care about the turtles.

Kedonganan Fish market
The traditional fish market close to Jimbaran.

Pantai Kelan
This beach is located south of the airport.
