This temple is not very well known and is not to be confused with the Gunung Kawi in Tampaksiring, this temple is located about 12 km north of Ubud in the village of Sebatu.
Gunung Kawi Sebatu is a water temple dedicated to Vishnu, the goddess of water. The temple complex is built on a natural spring. Open from 8am to 4pm, the entrance fee is IDR 50,000.

There are three main parts of the Gunung Kawi Sebatu temple. Going down the stairs from the entrance of the temple, the first thing you see is a large pond, where carps swimming and water lilies growing.

It’s a wonderful place to stroll around and relax. Allow yourself at least an hour to explore the temple and no not because the temple is so big but it is so quiet and peaceful and also for some visitors it is quiet and relaxed, the local people go here to pray and do their offering.

The temple has a number of purification ponds where the Balinese people can cleanse themselves spiritually, tourists can’t do this here.
It is a beautiful and quiet place and has so many details all around the complex so spent some time here, if you want to know details about the temple just ask the local people, they are really friendly and helpfull.

Follow the rules and respect the fact it is a holy place.
