Outside the centre of Lovina there are many warungs and restaurants, one of them is Dapoer Koe which is a small business on the Jalan Raya Anturan in the village of Banyualit, click here for the exact location, Dapoer Koe translated from Indonesian means “our kitchen” and opened in 2022.
It all started as a bakery where they sell the cake (small pastries/cakes but also birthday cakes) and donuts and it’s all homemade, they also have good coffee from a small coffee machine with homemade cookies.
Step by step they expanded and serving a nice menu with Indonesian meals for a local price, but the building where they are located soon turned out to be too small, so a major renovation took place in April 2024 so that the restaurant has more capacity, but still has a cozy living room appearance.
The charming thing about Dapoer Koe is the ambition and drive of Made Artana and his wife to get the best out of themselves, they make beautiful cakes for every occasion for a good price and serve a good meal, it’s all about the details, the attention they give their guest and customer.
There are only 6 tables, so it is still very small, but the tables are now for 4 people, you can go there for lunch or dinner, soon there will also be a breakfast menu, currently that is also possible but by appointment. A chef has been hired and the menu is being expanded and they are experimenting with new dishes so ask for their specials which are not on the menu.
If you’re looking for a quiet place to do some work on a laptop, this is a great place as they have free WiFi and air conditioning inside. You can also go there for coffee and cake, they have a small machine and the coffee is excellent.
The menu consists of a variety of Indonesian dishes and a number of Western dishes such as an excellent chicken wrap, they also make a good pizza, but as mentioned before, it’s all in the details, the presentation of the meals is with a nod to the western way of serving and preparing the dishes.
After the main meal you get a fruit salad, but they also serve tasty desserts.
The menu is good and includes many Indonesian meals and they are served with a special touch, they also make good pizzas. They focus on the local population but also on tourists or expats and they are happy if you leave Dapoer Koe happy because you had a nice dinner with them.

They also have a catering service for when you have a dinner party and don’t want to cook yourself they can help you with this. They will bring the food to your house in chafing dish, they will supply the plates, cutlery and great food for a buffet. Obviously you need to order this in advance and discuss the details with Made.
The bakery
The bakery used to be on this location as well but now they moved this activity to a different location but you can still order the pastries and cakes and if you want a cake for a special occasion, this is possible but must be ordered one day in advance.
The opening hours of the restaurant are from 11:00 am to 9:30 pm but if you want to have a special breakfast for sure they can handle this, just let them know in advance. Due to the limited capacity it is better to make a reservation, especially if you are with more people, they can also be closed due to (family) ceremonies, so it is better to contact them to make sure they are open and you can do that via WA +62 817-4716-227.
