Bunut Bolong

When you come from the north you will come across the Bunut Bolong which is located in Desa Manggisari and is a holy banyan tree which grows over the road, or rather, the road goes through this very large tree. This old, gigantic banyan tree is a natural landmark that is considered sacred by the locals. Next to the tree you will also find a temple, and many local people stop here to pray before they drive through the tree.
It is said that the tree is centuries old and that many people faced their downfall because they wanted to cut down the tree. The tree has a large cavity at the base. This formed naturally and is just as wide as the main road that runs through it. Temple shrines decorated with yellow and white cloths are located at both ends of the overhanging base of the banyan tree. The place also has something magical, especially when there is fog and it is dark.

There are some warungs there so it is a good place for a coffee break.
