Another part of the “backyard” from Lovina is Munduk. And Munduk was the main goal for a motorbike trip on this day, just driving through the area without having a real goal. From Lovina it is really not that far. Munduk is a big area with several villages, the area is famous because of the many coffee plantations and the endless number of ricefields. The nature is beautiful and there are many waterfalls in this area.
It is great to do this trip on the motorbike but ofcourse this can also be done by car.
Like mentioned before there are many waterfalls in the Munduk area, Labuan Kebo and Melanting waterfall are located in the same area, on the way up to Labuan Kebo waterfall there is a very nice warung, it is new and it is really a local place, the name is Warung Amerta Sari.
When you like coffee this is a good place and the coffee is really good, they call it Melanting coffee and the pisang goreng is for free, with the coffee you also get small lumbs of palmsugar and cacao beans.
They also sell lots of herbs and spices, tea leaves and coffee beans.
The idea of this day was to make a trip without a real destinations so after the coffee we left the area and just followed the road to see where we would end up. Driving to different villages, and what you see on the way it is all so beautiful, there are so many ricefields in the area.
We had lunch with Eddy’s Warung and Homestay, the food was good and the view was great.
Driving back into the direction of Lovina we passed more ricefields, sometimes it is like it never ends. Another nice trip on the motorbike through the north of Bali which never gets boring, because every time there is something new.
